Christmas

First of all, Merry Christmas to everyone!  I hope your Christmas holiday went as good as mine did!

So I came in from St. Louis Christmas Eve day.  I landed around 1 o'clock.  It was sooo good to see everyone!!  When I got home we just hung out for a little while and then got ready for the Christmas Eve service.  We went to First Baptist church.  It was pretty good.  The traditional Christmas carols, a short sermon, candles lit around the sanctuary at the end, etc.  It was good overall.  Then my whole family and grandma went to my aunt and uncles house.  We ate a ton of food and then we all exchangec gifts.  At Thanksgiving we all put our names in a hat and then drew.  We didn't tell the person whose name we got, and then Christmas eve we gave that person their gift.  Jenna (my younger cousin) had my name and she got me some lotions and body wash from Bath and Body Works.  I had my grandma and I got her See's chocolate truffles.  I think she liked them.  Then we came home around 10 p.m. and opened our gifts from each other.  It was a really good Christmas!  I think everyone liked what I got them.  I know that I loved what I all got!

Christmas morning my mom made a big brunch.  My grandma came over.  It was delicious!  Later that afternoon, the whole family watched The Chronicles of Narnia.  It was good.  I like that movie and since I have actually seen it, it wasn't too hard to follow.  It definately helped having the family there to fill in as needed.  There is alot of parts where it is just music.  I could picture what was happening in some of the scenes, but not all of them.  That is where my family members came in!

Today Sarah and I went to the Augusta mall.  We both had to exchange something that we got for Christmas.  It was so nice to be able to spend a few hours with just her and I.  She helped me pick out some nice jeans to exchange my other ones for and helped me pick out a really pretty cream colored sweater.  We are planning on taking a family picture tomorrow and I am going to wear my new outfit, the jeans and sweater.  I loved being able to hang out with Sarah, it was alot of fun.  I hope she had as much fun as I did!

Tomorrow we are all having a family picture taken (like I said before).  We are taking it at an old train station in Aiken.  Then we are all going to an italian restaurant called Buca's.  It will be really good!

I have been having such a great time with my family.  It has been so nice having the whole family together.  Matthew leaves on Saturday, but it has been so nice having everyone together again.  I hope you all had a very merry Christmas.  The new year, 2013, will be here before we know it!!
