Wading in the river...

This is Janet posting again while Emily waits for internet.  Emily had been so excited about the woodshop classes that she was going to be able to participate in, but unfortunately the teacher left and they are looking to replace him right now :(  On Tuesdays there is an extended travel period, so we were outside pretty much all morning.  The good news about that is that I didn't fall!  I did fall later in the day on a grassy slope while running to get to the bus on time though.  Today the Home Management class was long.  We made homemade pizza.  It was pretty good, but not as good as Mom's!!  Today we got in vans and were driven to a river.  We walked down a slope and waded into it and it was quite chilly, but because it was hot outside, it felt good.  We caught different things from the river and could hold them if we wanted to.  I held a small snail and something else that was small but was jumping around in my hand!

I was able to get all my things unpacked and put away last night so that is nice.  Most of you know that I am a pretty organized and neat person, so it felt good to get that done.  My new roommate isn't around very much, so I am by myself quite a bit.  I am still hoping to connect with some of the other students.

There is a Bible Study every morning the the Center.  I went yesterday and today and even though there are only 2 or 3 others, it is a sweet time with the Lord and a great way to start the day!  I met another student who is involved in a good church nearby, so on the weekends when I'm not able to go to visit my friends, I will be able to go there.
