Home again!

Yesterday, Sunday, was one long day.  I could see God's hand it in the whole time though...from the very beginning.  Mom and I got to the airport with four suitcases, my wardrobe for the past several months.  Mom was quite sure that two of them were above fifty pounds, the limit.  We werre going to just pay whatever we had to because we didn't want to have to deal with shipping and that mess.  So, we get up to the baggage check in counter, and they took them without even wighing them!  Is that incredible or what?  So, we got to our gate with plenty of time to spare.  Once we got on the plane to go to our layover in Washington, they had some technical difficulty that delayed us a little bit.  We only had a fifty minute layover to begin with.  So, mom and I are like running through the airport in Washington to get to our connecting flight.  There weren't any more flights out that day.  We ended up getting to the gate right as they were saying "last call for Zimmermann, party of two".  Once again, another "God thing".  Once mom and I were on the flight, we both just took a huge sigh of relief.  The only bummer of the whole day, is that because our flights were so close together, our luggage didn't make it.  I am not too concerned though.  There isn't anything really crucial that I can't live without for a couple of days.  Ultimately it all worked out, and I am home with family!  Have a great memorial day today!
