Catching up...

Last Monday through Wednesday at school there was nothing out of the ordinary.  I did make chocolate chip scones on Wednesday and they were delicious!  My Mom and Aunt Laura flew into Denver on Wednesday night.  Thursday they went to Mt.  Bierstadt with the Beach's and climbed to the top of the 14'er!  I'm so glad they did that without me!  They came to pick me up from school and got a tour and were able to meet a couple of my teachers.  Then we went to my apartment and they changed out my summer clothes with the winter clothes my Mom brought along.  I am ready for the snow with coats, hats and gloves....I even have a pair of ski bibs so I hope I can go skiing again.

On Friday we went thrift store/consignment shopping for a pair of cowboy boots for Sarah.  We found some at the last store, had a delicious lunch at the Prickly Pickle and then went shopping downtown Denver on the 16th Street Mall.  We ate some ice cream at the #1 rated shop called "Sweet Action" - they had some pretty amazing flavors, even some made with beer in honor of the Beer Fest going on over the weekend!  Then we had a massage and we all enjoyed it tremendously!  On Saturday we did some more shopping/window shopping around Littleton and had so much fun.  On our way back to the Beach's, we stopped and got pedicures, so hopefully all three of us will be able to wear open-toe shoes a little longer!

Sunday morning was sad as they were getting packed and ready to go.  Mrs. Karen and I left for church and they left for the airport at the same time.  I will be back in SC next month for Thanksgiving, so I keep telling myself that it's not so long.  I had one of my "episodes" during church which is the second one in a wee, so that was pretty scary.  I did go to a doctor today, but she basically said I needed to be seen by an endocrinologist.  She did take some labs, so we will see what they are.

Visits to Denver are welcome to everyone who reads my blogs - the weather and sights are beautiful, so come on down!
