Fast

First of all, I just wanted to let you guys know that I might not be on the computer for like all of Sept. Our church is doing a 21 day prayer and fasting thing starting Sept 4th-Sept. 25th, I think. But, anyways, I've been praying and thinking about what to fast and I'm leaning towards the internet....I will deffinately need God's help though!! So I just wanted to give you guys the heads up.

Ahh! It has been so busy here! I have two tests I need to study for tonight, last night was church, I had a quiz yesterday, plus the usual stuff at home, keeping the room clean, etc. I try to go to bed at 9:30 every night, it usually is 10! It has been raining here the last couple days. Or I guess I should say it rains for like an hour and then stops and it's yucky, humid, and wet the rest of the day. :( I can't wait for tomorrow to be over with!!! Then I don't have to go to school until Tuesday!!! YAY!! lol Well, I have to go start dinner, study, etc. Have a great weekend!

Major Praise report!!!!

The other day, my 3 yr. old cousin was sitting on the back of the couch (which Aunt Denise tells her not to do) and she fell (which has happened many times), obviously she was crying so Aunt Denise calmed her down and thought everything was fine. So they went to this play date and Lily started throwing up so Aunt Denise left Ellie at the play date and took Lily to the doctor. The Pediatrician said that she needs to go to the emergency room. To make a long story short, after several hours they found out that she did have a concussion but she is ok! Now, the best part is this: when they got home Ellie came up to Lily and said, "I had a great time Lily, you should've been there!" Then Lily had a good little come back, "Well, I went in a machine bigger than daddy!!! And I was very brave. Plus I got to pick out a movie at the movie store!!" That made Ellie quiet. haha

Nothing really is going on here. Matthew just had his 17th birthday. School is going fine. Sarah is making tons of money! lol Not only does she have dogs by herself but she has a few babysitting jobs she has done. Good for her! Andrew is going to college. He isn't very talkative, so I don't get much information. lol I think it's going pretty well though. Well, I have to go get ready for school. ttyl

School is still going good. I don't know if I mentioned it or not in my last post but I didn't have my books or badge, but yesterday I got my books, I was all excited until I went through my classes and found out that they gave me two of the wrong books....sooo frustrating, but today I got my badge, it actually turned out good!! I'm hoping to get my books switched tomorrow or at the latest Fri. I already have a couple tests and quizzes this week. I have to do this brochure about myself for English and that is due on Friday. Well, I have to go get ready for church. ttyl

School

Well, yesterday was the big day. I started high school. I got to all my classes. I wasn't tardy to any, so that was good. My teachers seem to be pretty good. One of the bummers is that I have first lunch which is at 10:55-11:20, but oh well. Otherwise everything went well the first day. I actually can't talk because I have to leave for school soon. I just wanted to let you know that my first day went good! :)

Life

Well, summer is about over and life is about to start up again. :( I can't believe it went so fast, even though it always does. I need lots of prayer right now. Monday I start school and I'm VERY nervous. Even though I've been a couple times I'm not sure where everything thing is. I'm still not use to lockers and I have no idea what I'm doing! This is crazy! Anyways, pray that I won't be so nervous, I'll do good, and will have no problems, especially finding and getting to all my classes. Thank you so much!

Well, I am working on my cruise scrapbook. This summer Sarah and I finally did our California scrapbook now we have been working on our cruise scrapbook. Sarah isn't into it as much as I am and would usually prefer to do something else, so I've done most of it. But I am fine with that 'cause I LOVE scrapbooking and making cards where as Sarah would prefer making cards.

As most of you know High School Musical was a huge hit last year and tonight High School Musical 2 came out. Everyone was so excited for it. Some friends from church invited Sarah and I to go over to their house and watch it, so we did. It was a lot of fun. We ordered pizza, had cookies, and it was a lot of fun. The actual movie was ok. The first was better and it was REALLY predictable but oh well.

The weather here has been REALLY hot and dry but today it finally rained. For about an hour, just guessing, we had a pretty big storm. Lots of thunder and lightning.

Matthew's birthday is coming up, Aug. 22, but he won't give us any birthday ideas. I obviously want to get him something but he doesn't know what he wants. I don't know where he likes to shop so I can't even get him a gift card to somewhere. Oh well, hopefully he'll think of something he wants.

Mom and Dad's anniversary is today so they went out to dinner in Augusta and then watched a movie. I think they had a good time. I think this is their 23rd....? I'm pretty sure. lol

The other night I saw Daddy's Little Girls. It was such a good movie. It is very sad but so good. Plus it has a happy ending. :) I also rented Are We Done Yet? but I haven't watched that one yet. I heard it was really good though. Well, I think I'm going to go to bed. ttyl

Well, as I said Sarah got glasses. I told you I would take pictures, they aren't that good but I finally took them. Here they are!!





I helped pick them out :) I think she looks good in glasses. It makes her look smart. lol Well, I'm going to go to bed. Have a great weekend.

Yay!

Well, I have been talking to my parents for a while about adding texting to our cell phone plan...it finally worked!! We got it yesterday. I love it. lol I don't have a lot of people I can text but I guess that is a good thing, because then I would be texting even more. lol Sarah and I babysat today, it went pretty well. Oh my goodness!!! It is SOOOO hot and humid here. The humidity is up to like 95% and the temp has been in the 100's!!! The pool is 93 and not even refreshing anymore. On top of that our air upstairs isn't working very well and so I'm really hot at night but dad I think fixed it...Another thing is I got my first wasp sting today...:( it hurt so bad! It was like hiding behind the back door and when I put my hand like in the door and it got me and yeah....Other than that not much is going on here. One of the boy's friends is going to be in the army and is getting back from boot camp tomorrow, and there is a welcome home party for him on Saturday that we're going to. Tomorrow mom has the day off and we are going to try to have a "family" day by the pool and then maybe go to the dollar theater tomorrow night. That would just be Sarah, mom, and I because I don't think the boys are interested in "Nancy Drew" lol. So that will be fun. Well, I'm going to finish this Scrabble game...even though Sarah is winning...:(

I've finally made my decision

I have been having a terrible time trying to decide whether I should play on the Silver Bluff tennis team. There were pluses and minuses and I just couldn't decide. I decided not too though. This, being my first year, year I'm just going to try to get used to going to school, having homework, and having stuff to do at home as well. I think it would be too much for me to also have to juggle tennis on top of it all. Plus I'm not good....at all. lol

Other than that not much is going on here, this morning Grandma took Sarah and I out to Ihop for breakfast. It was very nice. Oh yeah, Sarah had to get glasses. She actually looks cute in them! I'll try (it sure seems like I say this a lot...) to post a pic of her with them on.

Also, there is a service we do at church every Tues., which I actually have to get ready for, lol but anyways, the youth worship team does the worship and Sarah and a couple of her friends wrote a song and Sarah sang it last week....Oh my gosh! I have never been so proud of Sarah in my life. Not only was the song REALLY good but she sang it really well, everyone liked it, and on top of that the youth pastor likes it so much he wants to play it at the big church thing he goes to....it's so awesome how talented Sarah has become on the piano, especially writing songs, even though it gets annoying having to listen to her play all the time....

Yesterday, tomorrow, and Thursday Sarah and I have been babysitting out three neighbor girls. 5, 7, and 9. They are very easy, so it's good.

Well, I'm about to leave for a church service, so I'll ttyl!

The Nassavera's (my dad's sister's family) just left this morning so we've been busy with them. A lot of things have been going on at church too. Plus school starts in a couple weeks!! :/ Anyways, sorry it took so long....It's been busy here. But I finally took pictures of our new beds....We are still looking for bed skirts though.

This bed is mine. Both of the comforters are reversible. Mine is either brown or blue (like the pillow sham).
This is Sarah's comforter. Her comforter is also reversible, Lavender and Taupe (also like her pillow sham).
We got the comforters from overstock.com, the flower pillows from Kirklands, and the lamp from Target....Hope you enjoy!
